This work is part of the Paper++ European Project which developed and assessed innovative concepts and systems that augment the use of paper by interleaving paper documents with digital materials. As part of the project a flexible platform for interactive paper has been developed.
In the Paper++ project a grid of invisible conductive barcodes has been used for the page encoding. A conductive reader has been developed which measures the conductivity and transforms this information to a document identifier, a page number and the (x,y) position.
