The Diploma in Digital Applications (DiDA) includes the titles Using ICT, Multimedia, Graphics and ICT in Enterprise. The teaching books are bundled with an interactive CD-ROM containing images, movies and other digital material. The publisher Edexcel (Pearson Education) characterises the DiDA series with the words "...designed to stimulate students' creativity and develop real-world, practical skills...".

Based on our interactive on our architecture for interactive paper and cross-media publishing we implemented an interactive version of the DiDA booklet were information from the paper booklet is linked to information available on the CD-ROM as well as on Pearson's web site. Thereby, we do not only provide links to simple digital resources but also to arbitrary software services. For example, a screenshot of a Microsoft Access database table printed in the booklet is linked with the corresponding Microsoft Access funtionality. After selecting the table in the paper tutorial with the digital pen, Microsoft Access is started on the computer and the appropriate view of the database table is opened. Furthermore, handwriten information is captured by the digital pen and may be shared with other students in a collaborative learning environment.
