Applications

iPaper together with our various authoring tools allows all forms of interactive paper applications to be developed quickly and easily - in many cases without having to write a single line of code due to the large library of component services available.

To demonstrate this we have developed a wide range of applications. Some take the form of interactive documents with digital content presented by audio or visual channels or a combination of both. Others take the form of paper-based interfaces to applications. Many mix aspects of interaction and writing capture. Some are designed for mobile environments, while others are for desktop or meeting settings. Different videos are available for some of these applications.

		A presentation tool (PaperPoint) for giving PowerPoint presentations controlled by a paper-based user interface.
		A tourist information system for the Edinburgh festivals which provides access to information about venues and events, but also allows tourists to enter and share reviews.

		An artwork investigating several aspects of reading and writing in the context of human computer interaction.
		An interactive drawing application, which, by the example of the Monte Generoso located in Canton Tessin, brings together science and art.
		An application for scientific annotations providing visual and voice information about citations and other annotations.
		A system enhancing the reading of scientific publications by means of an interactive retrieval of the bibliographic references.
		Interactive DiDA booklet (Diploma in Digital Applications) combining printed information with CD-ROM and web content.
		The interactive paper laboratory notebook enables the capture and browsing of handwritten lab notes and sketches.
		A paper-based travel diary integrating handwritten notes with pictures taken by a digital camera.
		An application supporting the reviewing process of research project proposals.
		A paper-digital proof-editing application that allows users to edit digital documents by means of gesture-based mark-up of printed versions.
