Rapid Prototyping

Rapid prototyping should be central to information systems design and incorporated as early as possible into the development cycle to aid not only database design but also requirements elicitation. The OMS Database Development Suite offers tools that can be used to implement conceptual models specified with OM without any mapping steps involved. These model can then be validated and tested with sample data.

From Prototyping to Implementation

At the end of the prototyping process, a developer may export the schema, and optionally the sample data, either as SQL for a relational system or for import to another OMS data management system such as eOMS. Using one of the programming language bindings offered by the OMS Database Development Suite, the developer can then implement an application based on the designed database.
